Haldi (Hindi) is Turmeric . Haldi is very popular among the Hindu & Sikh, Indian cultures, notably for its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, healing, beautification and purifying properties. It is also a main component of the Haldi or Pithi ceremony, a major event preceding a Hindu and Sikh wedding, where the bride & the groom are cleansed.
